We are so blessed to have an amazing children's zoo so close to us. A few weeks ago we went with family and had a great time. It was HOT!! Let's just say that the African Adventure felt like Africa.
But we got to feed the giraffe! It was amazing to offer the lettuce and watch it reach out and grab it...it was RIGHT there!
Did you know that giraffes have extremely long tongues that they wrap around their food to grasp it and pull it into their mouths? I don't think the kids (or me either) will ever forget that!
